Books to Read that Makes Millionaires
Do you believe you have control of your ultimate destiny? That it’s possible to make your own way by carving out a path in granite?
I certainly do and there’s no need to carve granite or any hard stuff like that, either…
In fact, I’ve been able to shape my own course in life simply by reading books.
Now, I’m not suggesting that by simply reading books, you will get the results you want, but reading and acquiring new knowledge through the written word is something that seems to be a common thread through most, if not all, successful people.
That’s why today, I’m going to share with you 5 books to read that make millionaires:
The first book I recommend is, Rich Dad, Poor Dad, by Robert Kiyosaki.
Rich Dad Poor Dad is about Robert Kiyosaki and his two dads. His real father (poor dad) and the father of his best friend (rich dad). He talks about how the poor and the middle-class work for money and how the rich have money work for them.
This book really resinated with me because he was a Japanese American, raised in America. Which I’m Filipino, raised in America. He was also a United States marine, and his transition from military to civilian world really connected with me. In addition to that, he’s got a current podcast called Rich Dad podcast that I constantly listen to in the car, or at the gym.
The second book I recommend is, Missed Fortune 101: A Starter Kit to Becoming a Millionaire By Douglas R. Andrew
I got involved in the insurance industry, I got my licenses in the insurance industry, and he connected the dots for me on how to articulate specific strategies. Being through multiple recessions 01, 08, 09, my money always stayed safe, I never lost a dime in value, my clients never lost a dime in value. Simply because of the financial strategies discussed in this book.
Third book I recommend is, How I Raised Myself from Failure to Success in Selling By Frank Bettger.
To get anything you want in your life, you’ve got to learn how to sell and that’s why I recommend this book. I love the way he structured his day. I love the way he took down big cases. I love the way he had his daily disciplines and when I started reading this book, I said, “Wow, this is how you sell. This is how you communicate. These are the words that you use.”
Fourth book I recommend is, 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership, By John Maxwell.
I love how John Maxwell breaks down the different aspects of leadership and if you want to continue to bless your life, and not only have short-term wealth but want longterm wealth, than you got to definitely read books by John Maxwell.
The Fifth book I recommend is, 25 Laws of Doing the Impossible By Patrick Bet-David.
Patrick Bet-David is my personal mentor and seeing how my life have changed through the direct mentorship of him, and reading his books have really opened my eyes. One of the many reasons I like this book is because he shares his own impossible crusade and gives key principles for anyone looking to do the same.
So for me, I hated my financial situation, I despised what was going on in my personal life and It wasn’t until I was absolutely frustrated that I said, “You know what, I need to do something different”. My patterns in behavior needed to change and reading Patrick’s books, 25 Laws of Doing the Impossible made it possible for me to change my situation.
So that wraps it up, I hope I shared some thoughts and ideas of how you can get to the next level in your life. You should be striving to develop knowledge to improve yourself, your company, and the people around you. To do anything less is to shortchange your ability to lead.
