Mental Toughness and Overcoming Barriers with Rob Jones and Shorty Torres
Mental toughness is one of those things that when you hear some body say it, you automatically agree that you have it. That is until you have it tested!
Today I was honored to welcome a fellow Marine, Rob Jones on to the show, as well as local Chicagoland MMA fighter Shorty Torres to help us break down what it means to have true mental toughness!
Rob Jones was covered by Sport Illustrated for is amazing push to run 31 marathons in 31 days. A double amputee, Rob was hit by an IED while on a deployment in Iraq. I am proud to say we have a TRUE HERO on the show today! OOOORAAHH!
Rob does it all. He did a bike ride that started from Maine and ended at Camp Pendleton, CA. He was part of the US Rowing Team and won a Bronze Medal at the 2012 Paralympic Games.
Shorty Torres is a reigning defending champion in TFC- Titan Fighting Championship, who currently holds two belts as well as a 31 fight win streak! He’ll be defending his title belt Feb 16th, details here.
I am proud to say that Shorty comes from the same high school I graduated from! (Morton East/West in Berwyn IL)
