5 Common Money-Making Excuses People are Using During the Lockdown

We are truly living in unprecedented times. It’s already been more than two months now that the world has been in lockdown. Some countries have been facing it for more than two months already. And to make matters worse, there is no end in sight for the coronavirus pandemic.

So, we reached out to people to learn what they were doing and how they are dealing with this situation. We wanted to get a picture of the average American and how long before they start panicking. It turns out that the average person starts panicking after two weeks of no income. This is a really short period.

People also generally tend to give excuses about why they are powerless and can’t do anything to turn their lives around. We have been hearing five particular excuses again and again and I’m going to talk about these and how you can overcome them.

1. I Can’t Do Anything

This is the number one excuse that most people have, simply because they are demotivated. But, if you are physically able, you’ve got breath in your lungs, you’re strong, you’re not mentally and physically disabled, you can do a lot of things.

Even in times like these where you have to distance yourself from people, you can reach out using your cell phone, the internet and do more than you know. It’s all in your head. You need to overcome the inertia and get it done.

2. I Can’t Make Money

It is understandable if you are laid off or can’t go to work and make money due to the current situation, but there are still a ton of ways you can do so. Many businesses have shifted to doing business online. You can find something that you can do while you are at your home. It might be temporary or it might be something great. You never know.

3. I’m Sick

People love making this excuse even if nothing is wrong with them. Right now, even if people don’t have the coronavirus, they think they are supposed to act like a sick person and take rest during the entire lockdown period. This just shows the mental state of such people who don’t want to put in the work. Just take care of your body, do your preventive measures, stay healthy, stay safe but don’t use it as an excuse to not do anything.

4. Depending On The Government

People love easy money and the government handing out stimulus checks has sent some people in the “depending” mode. This excuse is not going to get you anywhere. As a matter of fact, it is getting you lazier. That will make matters worse. You should instead focus on becoming better, learn new skills, be more marketable, raise your value more so that the markets can reciprocate.

5. Excuse To Make Changes And Improve

Now, the excuse that you should be making is to make this pandemic as an excuse to grow, learn, change, improve, and be an all-round better person. You will tremendous benefits when you start doing so. In fact, when this is all over, you will automatically find yourself much higher than everybody else. Isn’t that something to work for?
